Looking Ahead: January Books

Whoa, there. January is apparently a huge month for books this year. That or I just happened to latch on to more books this month than I usually do...

What are you most looking forward to this month?

  2. I scored an early copy and can't wait to get started! Just have to get all this silly work done, first...

  3. Interesting--I haven't heard much hype on Binary Star at all. Perhaps that's all the more reason to read it before the hype machine gets at it! That said, I have heard some iffy feedback on Amnesia since I first spotted it, so I'm questioning its place now.

  4. I think it's partially hype for the author, who has been killing it on the self-promotion front. I've seen it on four lists in the last few days...but since it's coming out so soon, that may be why. I plan on grabbing it regardless, but I'm trying to keep my expectations low!

  5. It's a new year and I was all set to be amazed and so far it's mostly been...meh. I did like The Secret Wisdom- a coming of age story about a boy and I don't read a lot of stories about teenage boys but this one works on a lot of levels. Hopefully, the rest of the month and next month are going to pick up- and I'll check back and see what worked for you!
