Measured in Books (Quote of the Day)

"There are many ways to measure a year, but the reader is likely to measure it in books." - Blogger C. Max Magee, of The Millions, from his post on the year's reading.

Happy New Year! As we look down the length of 2010, what did you read last year? How many did you complete? Do you count the books you read in a year's time? What were your favorites?

And what are your goals for 2011?

  1. I never count. I haven't got a clue how many I've read this year. But some of my faves were Sandra Beck by John Lavery, The Carnivore by Mark Sinnett, the Inkheart trilogy by Cornelia Funke, Annabel by Kathleen Winter, One Bird's Choice by Iain Reid, The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins...there are probably a few more!

I never set goals but ideally I'd love to spend less time on the computer and more time with my books. Also, I'd like to work on writing fiction, as I used to.

Mainly, I'd like this whole reading and book blogging thing, including reading others' blogs, to be stress-free. So a goal there would be learning to let go of guilt!
